We'll learn about the world's first major natural waterway reversal in human history as we traverse from the heart of the Chicago along the Chicago River and the Illinois and Michigan Canal to Starved Rock. Cold air starts to sweep across the land when we go back in time to relive a catastrophic flood that occurred between 14,000 and 18,000 years that reshaped the land. We'll camp, have fun, and hike the park.
Meet at Buckingham Fountain at 5:30am.
Bike to & overnight at Starved Rock State Park with historical breakpoints along the way.
On Day 3 we'll Return to Chicago by Train, arriving at 6:11pm
Pace: Casual, we ride together as a group, no one is left behind.
Lodging: Tent or Hotel (campsite included when you register) (Hotel is on your own accord)
Mileage: Day One 110 | Day Three: 50 miles.
